Headley have a live vacancy for a Materials Planner, with our Leeds based manufacturing client.

The company are well established as a Leeds manufacturer, part of a wider group of companies and operate in a fast moving industry sector.

The company is professionally run, well organised and with ambitious development plans it already has underway.

As the business continues to grow, this is a vital and demanding supply chain position where you’ll work independently to ensure seamless production.

Key duties to include:

* Scheduling the supply of materials to support project and production requirements

* Develop supplier base - plan and coordinate ongoing material supply

* Optimising stock levels

* Day to day purchasing duties

* Developing and dealing with sub contract manufacturers as projects dictate.

Skills and Experience:

* Experienced in a materials control, or similar planning/supply chain position within manufacturing

* MRP Experience, and good IT skills

* Able to identify, and negotiate with relevant suppliers

* Good communicator, internally and externally to the business

* Close attention to detail

This is a demanding position, but one where you’ll make a material difference to the business, with genuine career headroom.
