Are you an experienced CNC Horizontal Machinist looking to work with a reputable, long-standing family business?

Why Our Client?

Productivity Bonus: additional financial rewards based on company productivity performance weekly.
Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy 33 days of holiday per year (including statutory holidays), Company Pension which increases with length of service, Christmas shut down, Night shift allowance, Sick Pay and finish early on a Friday are just some of the benefits.
Supportive Company Culture: Work in a friendly, nurturing environment where management understands and values the engineering work you do. Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Horizontal Machinist to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal person will have experience in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines as this post plays a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality precision parts and the continued success of this reputable business.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate the CNC machine.
Programming: Write and modify CNC programs from technical drawings to optimise machine performance and ensure high precision.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Required Skills:

Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with CNC mills and lathes. Experience with Union machines and Siemens controls is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of geometric tolerances and technical drawings. Ability to make precise adjustments and solve machining problems independently. Experience with CAM software is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various inspection tools and gauges.
Your Attributes: Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
