This is an amazing opportunity for a Level 3/HLTA qualified Teaching Assistant looking for permanent work.
The school we are working with in Rotherham (S65), which is part of a fantastic multi-academy trust, is looking for a committed and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join their educational team on a permanent basis. The role is Monday to Friday, and not suitable for job share.
Key duties will include:
* Working primarily 1:1 with a SEND pupil in KS2
* Providing 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention
* Helping manage classroom behaviour by applying strategies that encourage positive student interactions
* Establishing safe and consistent learning routines for pupils at school, and in their community and home
* Collaborating closely with teachers and staff to design individualised education plans for students who require additional support
* Ensuring a stimulating and safe learning environment by organising and managing the physical teaching space and resources effectively
The appointed candidate will have:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEND) and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties
* Ability to communicate effectively with children and young people, adjusting language and approach to suit their individual needs.
* A Level 3 + Teaching Assistant qualification
* Fantastic behaviour management skills
