Job Profile:
This innovative organisation is seeking a versatile and adaptable Mechanical Design Engineer. Candidates must be UK nationals and will undergo security vetting.
Duties:
* Compile, monitor, and update project plans and status reports
* Manage project engineering and procurement files
* Provide technical and administrative support for projects
* Support the release and modification of drawings and parts lists
* Offer technical assistance during procurement, build, and test phases of projects
* Generate project procurement lists and handle RFQs and purchase orders
* Monitor and expedite the project procurement process
* Handle project deliveries, goods inward approval, and assignment to relevant projects
* Perform other project-related duties as requested by senior management
Skills & Attributes:
* Qualified to SVQ/NVQ level 5, ONC/HNC (Minimum Level 4), or City & Guilds T4 or T6 in Mechanical Engineering or EITB Approved Apprenticeship or similar
* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and analytical application
* Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
* Knowledge of Solidworks and solid modelling is advantageous
* Flexible, adaptable, well-organised, and a team player
* Excellent communication skills for technical and practical concepts
Hours of Work:
39.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 – 16:00
Friday: 7:30 – 13:00
