Senior Quality Engineer
Based in Kent
Circa £45,000 per annum + generous benefits package
Our brand-new client are leading specialists in the design & manufacture industry, and have an expanding customer base throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.
Requirements:
* Overseeing team to ensure final inspection & in-process inspection of sheet metal & machined components meets agreed specifications and production deadlines, minimising delays and bottlenecks
* Management of internal NCR system; including raising internal and external non-conformance investigations, management reporting and recommending necessary changes to internal systems and procedures
* Maintenance and improvement of MSL QMS systems throughout company, including compliance of necessary ISO certification process, updating and training staff on quality manual and ensuring internal audits
* Enabling delivery of up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flows across business to ensure internal compliance
* Oversight of ISO 9001 management system duties and compliance to agreed standards
* Working with colleagues to support relevant Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the company
Requirements:
* Relevant background, ideally to degree standard or equivalent
* 3 - 5 years relevant and transferable industry experience
* Experience of working within and delivering to a quality management standard (minimum to ISO 9001)
* Proven ability in raising non-conformance reports and conducting subsequent investigations/actions
* Experience of FAI & report writing to high standard
* Expert understanding of reading engineering drawings, projections and tolerances
