Position Description:

As a Quality Engineer the focus of this role will be to develop and streamline the current QMS system, as well as improve and document the company's quality policies, processes standards. Lead maintenance and external supplier audits. We are also looking for an individual with sufficient experience to work closely with engineers in India and the UK to ensure adequate levels of quality are maintained through product development, APQP, and the PPAP stages. This role will interact across all systems, components and platforms for existing and new products. This is an office-based role reporting to the UK based Quality Assurance Team Manager but can involve international travel when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of the company's quality policies, processes, standards, and
systems.
Perform Internal audits to ensure compliance.
Work with various departments to develop departmental process flow diagrams.
Work with Quality Engineers to audit, document and update PPAP documents.
Responsible for working with Quality Engineers in maintaining the PPAP tracker.
Coordination of Appearance Approval Reports and Form, Fit and Function Reports.
Weekly meetings to progress internal corrective actions and improvements.
Corrective Work with Quality Engineers to establish quality concerns investigation protocol and
use SCAR and 8D process as part of the investigation.
Maintenance of the Quality Issues Database system.
Ensure that suppliers have related documents/quality manuals and work with suppliers to ensure they understand requirements.
Liaise with design regarding product manufacturing methods.
Be involved in continuous improvement activities.
Support UK, Europe related warranty issues.
Supporting the team to achieve overall commercial targets.
Supporting all ISO accreditation activities.
Long-term working relationship with multiple departments.
Support QA Manager in regarding supplier issues which have a direct impact on warranty targets.
Willingness to travel to Europe (and possibly India).
Qualifications and Experience:

Quality system experience (maintenance & external system audits).
Lead Auditor Qualified (Preferred)
Good working knowledge of ISO:9001, (or AS9100, IATF 16949).
APQP & PPAP experience.
DFM & Manufacturing process experience.
Quality problem solving, corrective actions and investigation.
Supplier product development support (European suppliers).
Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
A self-starter and must be able to work on own initiative.
HND in engineering, mechanical engineering or quality engineering.
Previous experience of at least 6 years within a quality role.
At least 2-3 years within a quality role.
Clean Driving licence.
Ability to work in the UK.
Must have OEM Motorcycle experience
