Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team at Florette in Lichfield.

About Us

Florette is one of three UK food manufacturing factories owned by the French co-operative group, Agrial. Agrial has operations across 18 regions, with 280 farming outlets and 5 different divisions, which comprise Beverage, Dairy, Meat, Fresh Produce & Agricultural operations; it’s not just about lettuce! As well as the 3 factories we also have a farming operation – Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrial's vegetable division.

The business is more recognisable in the UK by its Florette salad brand and we are now one of the UK’s leading producers in the industry. Under the Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat fresh salad bags to well-known retailers in the UK. We have a recipe for success through our EPIC values and working together as one team.

Main Responsibilities

* Working in collaboration with the wider engineering team and production to provide an effective support to the business, to ensure asset efficiency, availability and reliability is maximised..

* To drive the continuous improvement of assets through identifying and delivery of agreed improvement projects.

* Motivate the cross functional teams using specialist technical knowledge to ensure timely, compliant completion of planned and ad hoc technical production projects.

* To coordinate teams to solve problems and improve operational systems, processes & procedures.

* To facilitate change by ensuring the appropriate actions are managed in a safe and timely manner, deliverables are monitored in line with justification criteria.

* The role works effectively with other business functions to ensure the Plant leadership strategic goals are delivered in the short, medium, and long term.

* Lead and take responsibility for allocated Projects and Process Improvement plan.

* Apply suitable project management techniques to control progress and intervene as necessary to ensure all targets are met.

* Produce accurate and comprehensive project work documentation and ensure that progress is recorded, managed, and reported.

* To ensure projects are delivered on time and in full.

* Facilitate the introduction of new process changes because due to any project work undertaken, and monitor progress.

* Investigate on request issues where a root cause cannot be easily identified.

* Research and introduce new process/ measuring/ analytical equipment as and when appropriate or requested.

* Provide effective and efficient engineering support to manufacturing operations by co-ordinating and leading the activities of a team of engineers, ensuring all site policies and procedures are adhered to by yourself and your team.

Skills and Experience Required

* Completion of recognised engineering qualification.

* Analytical thinker with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving.

* Project implementation knowledge & experience

* Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation

* Computer literate
