Role: Production Supervisor - Nights
Salary: £39,000
Reporting to: Production Manager

I am recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's largest independent food manufacturers. Established in 2000, they supply a wide range of products to wholesalers, retailers, and sandwich manufacturers. As a family-run business with a friendly, hands-on approach, they continue to experience significant growth and are not slowing down!
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Night Supervisor is responsible for achieving daily production plans. You will manage a team to ensure that all processes align with the company’s quality manual and that factory systems are completed efficiently. The Night Supervisor will also support shop-floor-based teams.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
* Competently operate production machinery and equipment with a focus on safety.
* Ensure team members work safely and follow correct procedures.
* Complete all written and online documentation accurately and promptly.
* Lead the production team, adhering to internal processes and procedures to maintain production efficiency and quality.
* Manage staff rotas within labour budgets (including agency staff).
* Ensure production plans are completed on time and in full.
* Attend and contribute to production and shift meetings.
* Complete assigned training promptly and train other staff members as needed.
* Identify areas of improvement in production and packing for both efficiency and quality.
* Manage holiday requests and absences according to company policy, ensuring accurate records in HR software.
* Support and guide your team to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
* Perform tool changes when required.
* Be the responsible person during the night shift.
* Cover line leaders and operatives when necessary.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of OEE
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Strong leadership skills with experience working in a leadership team
* Ability to operate machinery effectively
* Ability to hold meetings as required
* HACCP Level 3
* Food Safety Level 3

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am
