Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated HLTA - Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our mainstream secondary schools in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate will support educators in providing a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Support students with special educational needs, including SEN, EAL and behavioural needs
- Help maintain a safe and tidy learning environment
- Communicate effectively with both children and adults
- Implement and review Individual Education Plans
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
Proficiency in the use of ICT in the classroom.
Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards students and their learning.
Qualifications
Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
Further qualifications in education or child development (desirable)
