Job title: Maintenance Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Craftsperson

Location: Birmingham QE Hospital Retained Estate Birmingham B15 2WB

Length: 3 months initial contract subject to extend

Work hours: shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off, made up of two days 07.00 – 19.00 and two nights 19.00 – 07.00

Pay Rate: £20.93/hour PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer for a FM Services and Engineering company.

In this role you will undertake improvement work, maintenance and repairs of plant, services and physical assets including testing and routine fault finding. Working on a shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off, made up of two days 0700 – 1900, and two nights 1900 – 0700, as part of the shift mechanical team.

Some of other duties include;

The responsibilities will mainly be at the Acute Hospital but may also include duties at the Mental Health unit and Retained Estate.

To undertake any reasonable duties to maintain all services to the NHS Trust(s)

To carry out all works in compliance with company’s KPI’s

*

Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision.

*

Set up New Work appropriate to his/her own trade using relevant tools, equipment, and machinery, without supervision, as appropriate to his/her grade.

*

To maintain workshops and working environment in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.

*

After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP’s, ladders, and step ladders within confined spaces, and etc.

Key Skills/Experience:

*

City & Guilds (or equivalent) Mechanical qualifications.

*

Understanding of AHU and FCU

*

Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent training
