Humanities Teacher needed – Bourne End

Supply Desk are looking for someone who has a passion for teaching Humanities and has prior experience within teaching. We are looking for someone who is able to lead the classroom and lead with the development of the pupils learning. We are looking for a teacher that is able to inspire the pupils on a day to day basis.

Role: Humanities Teacher

Location: Bourne End

Pay: MPS - UPS

Start: September 2024

Responsibilities as a Teacher:

Implement curriculum-aligned humanities lessons that incorporate real-world contexts and interactive activities.
Cultivate an inviting and dynamic classroom atmosphere that encourages students to inquire, critically analyse ideas independently, and strive for academic excellence in humanities subjects.
Utilise diverse teaching strategies, including visual aids, collaborative projects, and technology tools, to accommodate varying learning styles.
Conduct assessments to assess student progress and understanding, offering constructive feedback to support each student's growth and development.
Collaborate with colleagues to design projects that connect humanities with other academic disciplines, providing students with well-rounded educational experiences.
Participate in professional development opportunities to refine teaching techniques and remain informed about advancements in humanities education.

Requirements:

Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
Prior experience of working in the education sector or teaching the national curriculum
Has a strong knowledge of the Humanities curriculum
Able to keep the classroom encouraged and keep pupils enthusiastic about learning
Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
Has a passionate for teaching Humanities
Able to commute to and around the Cadmore End area
