I am currently recruiting for a maintenance technician to join my client a world leading company in the aerospace industry.
This role is offered on a double days shift pattern with one week 6am-2pm then following week will be 2pm-10pm.
Roles and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:
• Carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical assets including mould and power presses, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and ancillary equipment etc.
• Providing engineering solutions when immediate spares aren’t available (retrofitting, reverse engineering or modifying equipment)
• Working in line with maintenance technicians and best practices complying with Health and Safety regulations
• Respond to reactive maintenance call outs
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection logs
• Assist in outage planning, scheduling and co-ordination
• Supervising contracted labour when on site
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices
Skills and Qualifications for a Maintenance Technician:
• Time served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical engineering field
• Stone experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controlled plant and associated equipment
• Experience working in a fast-moving production environment
• Willing to undertake additional specific plant training
