Seeking a Maintenance Technician on a contract basis for my Leigh-On-Sea based manufacturing client.

The business operates electro-mechanical production and assembly equipment, to produce mainly moulded products.
You will join a multi-skilled team supporting manufacturing at this key site.

Role: Maintenance Technician (Contract)
Location: Leigh-On-Sea
Shift: Mon-Fri. One week earlies: 6am-2pm. One week lates: 2pm-10pm
Overtime and call outs possible
Pay rate: £21 per hour PAYE only. Plus holiday pay in addition
Vetting: Referencing & clear drug screen required.
Applicants must already hold the rights to live & work in the UK

Main Responsibilities:

Carrying out pre-planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical assets including mould and power presses, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and ancillary equipment etc.
Providing engineering solutions when immediate spares aren't available (retrofitting, reverse engineering or modifying equipment)
Working in line with maintenance technicians and best practices complying with Health and Safety regulations
Respond to reactive maintenance call outs
Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection logs
Assist in outage planning, scheduling and co-ordination
Supervising contracted labour when on site

Ideal candidate profile:

Time served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical engineering field is preferred, or strong relevant experience in a similar role
Strong experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controlled plant and associated equipment
Experience working in a fast-moving production environment
Willing to undertake additional specific plant training
