Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer

Location: Woodbury, NY

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Description:

Keystone Consulting Group is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer will be responsible for assisting clients in securing residential mortgage loans. This role involves evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of real estate loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage lending, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Client Consultation: Meet with prospective clients to understand their mortgage needs and financial situation, providing tailored advice and solutions.

·         Loan Origination:

Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely.

·         Credit Analysis:

Evaluate applicants' financial status, credit history, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.

·         Product Knowledge:

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all mortgage products, including conventional loans, FHA, VA, USDA, and other specialized loan programs.

·         Relationship Building:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, realtors, and other referral partners to generate business.

·         Compliance:

Ensure all mortgage loan applications comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.

·         Market Awareness:

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.

·         Performance Metrics:

Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to team targets, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

·         Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or in a related mortgage lending role. Entry Level is okay as long as the candidate is willing to get required education and licensed before the start date.

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.

·         Must have a valid Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license as required by the SAFE Act.

·         Strong understanding of mortgage lending principles and practices.

·         Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

·         Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Proficient in mortgage-related software and tools.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
