We are exclusively recruiting a newly created Commercial Finance Manager role to join a fast growing business, who are seeking to bring on board a qualified Commercial Finance professional to help the business on the next phase of their growth journey.

About the role:
The Commercial Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in helping the business understand its financial performance and use insight to drive strategic planning and decision-making. You will be responsible for analysing financial data, forecasting future performance, and providing actionable recommendations to optimise profitability and support business growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Commercial Finance Manager:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Lead the preparation of detailed financial analysis, providing insights into business performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.
Develop and present regular reports (product sales and pmv, profit and loss, EBITDA), including variance analysis, and recommendations to senior management. Strategic Financial Planning:

Engage and collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
Provide financial analysis, expertise, and guidance to support strategic decision-making.
Support the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, ensuring realistic and achievable targets.
Support the development, monitoring, and internal communication of an employee incentive scheme. Operational Support and Business Partnering:

Working with the commercial teams, providing monthly sales and pmv reports; interrogating results, identifying opportunities, areas of concern along with agreed actions and interventions.
Attending monthly business review meetings, providing appropriate levels of challenge to assist in business growth plans.
Frequent short-term forecasting throughout the months to keep the commercial teams aligned and on track with financial targets. Forecasting and Scenario Planning:

Lead the development of accurate financial forecasts, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow projections.
Perform scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different business strategies and market conditions. Cost Control and Profitability Optimisation:

Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the business to optimise profitability. Risk Management:

Identify and assess financial risks within the business, proposing strategies to mitigate them. Continuous Improvement and Systems Development:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, enhancing processes and systems for better accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to explore business systems to assist with business growth.
IT Site lead, responsibility for coordinating any IT developments and maintaining the data integrity of the ERP and financial reporting systems. The ideal candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager will have the following background:

CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified.
5-10 years’ experience in a Commercial Finance/FP&A role within a product based, distribution or supply chain environment.
A strong team player approach is essential to succeeding within the business, along with excellent analytical skills, commercial judgement, and relationship management. Package to include: Excellent bonus and benefits (incl. private healthcare (dental/optical), critical care, 34 days holiday)
