Techniche are supporting a well-established prototype electronics manufacturer in Andover with appointing a new Manufacturing Engineer to work in their Microelectronics department. The role will primarily involve; Coordinating and carrying out engineering activities, ensuring the requirements for a product line or product group are met and complied with. In line with forecasted output, product quality, adherence to specification and on time delivery.

Primary roles & responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer

Assist senior engineers and management in the execution of tasks for engineering projects.
Work alongside other manufacturing engineers and more junior or graduate
engineers on joint tasks; day-to-day tasks, medium/long-term projects, training, mentoring and development.
Develop processes and ensure best possible quality and reduce waste; increase efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout, identify, measure, monitor and report on process indicators or other measurables to help drive improvement.
Use of documented Standard Operating Procedures, Process Capability and Gauge R&R to continuously verify and validate manufacturing processes.
Ensure equipment and process Standard Operating Procedures are documented and reviewed regularly for accuracy and compliance.
Support Production Teams in all matters technical, address technical issues, re-optimisation of process and trouble-shooting.
Review new and/or up-issued customer documentation to ensure documents and process are compliant to customer requirements.
Assist quality engineers to investigate instances of poor quality or customer returns, compile evidence and data for 8D reports, review and evaluate process risk for PFMEAs and support with both internal and external audits.
Support senior engineers and management with the introduction of new products and processes
Ensure key equipment remains operational by working with the maintenance Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years working in a relevant manufacturing environment
A Degree Level Qualification in the following would be an advantage; BEng/MEng in an engineering or scientific discipline such as electronics, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
It would be desirable to hold a HNC or HND in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
