Role: Tendering Engineer

Location: Shropshire (hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Hourly rate: £30 - 35 an hour (Inside IR35)

I am looking for a Tendering Engineer to support their LV electrical product range on behalf of one of our major clients. This is a long-term rolling contract opportunity with the potential option to work for them on a permanent basis later down the line or remain as a contract, completely up to you.

Responsibilities:

Analyse Request For Quotations (RFQ's) and prepare costing as per standard process and tools, to provide quotations across the following Low Voltage Portfolio of products.
This is a Engineered/Manufacture to Order offer for distributing Power throughout Commercial and Industrial Buildings.
Interpret Schematics, schedules & specifications.
Develop commercial awareness to ensure actions taken are appropriate.
Perform simple risk analysis.
Identify simple projects to improve / enhance the function and value add of the Tendering Team, drive and deliver those projects with support from Advanced and Senior Tendering Engineers / Tendering Manager.Required skills/experience:

They are looking for an experienced Tendering Engineer who hopefully has some previous experience in this line of work preferably OR at least experience in Low Voltage Equipment Tendering
Training will be provided if necessary for appropriate candidates to become able to work unaided to interpret schematics, schedules, and drawings for all key product ranges.
Some knowledge of the Electrical Distribution industry and market would be beneficial, but not essential (competitors, suppliers, customers).
Good interpersonal and soft skills - a strong ability to positively engage with internal and external customers is required and ability to train other team members.
