New Resource Recruitment is excited to be working with a Dorset based business who is a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, to find a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the facilities and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise contractors, working closely with the Facilities Manager and the Engineering team.
* Plan and deliver both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure seamless operations.
* Maintain and repair facilities equipment while adhering to GMP standards and safety protocols.
* Assist in delivering engineering projects and help drive innovation and improvements in the department.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are logged accurately using the company’s systems (Epicor).
* Support procurement by assisting with parts and materials and help manage the engineering inventory.
What You’ll Need:
* Proven experience in building maintenance or an engineering discipline, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic IT literacy and strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and contractors.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and GMP/BRC standards (experience in food manufacturing preferred).
* Advantageous: Experience managing contractors and qualifications such as IOSH.
