An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new central team providing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and out of hours cover for a vast range of newly installed Plant & Equipment as a Depot Facilities Technician with a well-established Rail transportation client based in Cambridge.

Role Overview

As a Depot Facilities Technician you will be responsible for providing an outstanding contribution to the Asset Management Department by undertaking both planned maintenance and reactive repairs as required.?

As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair of the vast amount of equipment that has been purchased in support of our new train fleet.?

Within this role, duties will include the provision of planned preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs to building services, fixed plant, and equipment such as CET, fuel, Adblue and tanking facilities across a number of depots and sidings.?

A good understanding of PLC operated systems is a requirement for the role, and the successful colleague will be expected to both maintain and repair plumbing and drainage and water distribution systems, heating, lighting and ventilation equipment and more specialist plant utilising vacuum and compressed air.

Please note that this is a role has evening shifts ?to be confirmed after discussion with candidates but are likely to be between 2pm and midnight.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for a multi skilled technician with both electrical and mechanical qualifications to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, and preferably with experience working in a rail environment. Experience of pneumatic, hydraulic and vacuum pumping systems is desirable.
