Position: Teaching Assistant
Start date: September
Pay: £1600 - £2000 per monthWe are currently hiring a teaching assistant for September to join an OFSTED good school for the new academic year. The successful teaching assistant would be joining a KS1 classroom and assisting the teacher and sharing the main responsibilities around the classroom to enhance the childrens learning.

The school is modern with lovely facilities, with history dating back to the 1800's, this year they are full capacity with year groups from reception ranging up to Year 6. The school has excellent relationships between home and school, setting the highest standards of behaviour and work ethic with strong parental support throughtout. Because working together will ensure the best outcome for all students and as a teaching you will be expected to adopt this ethos and principles.

Parking is offered for all teaching assistants and the school is located within a walking distance from 2 overground stations, multiple bus stops and an underground with access to the district line.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TEACHING ASSISTANT

Support for Pupils

Support pupils to make good academic progress, under the direction of the teacher and Inclusion leader
Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence
Implement group or 1:1 interventions to support pupils who have emotional or social barriers to learning
Establish constructive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
Attend to the pupils' personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters
Understand Individual Education Plans & Behaviour Support Plans and assist to implement these, under the guidance of the teacherQUALIFICATIONS

Desirable for teaching assistant:
