Job Title: Aspiring School-Based SEN Psychologist

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and eager to make a positive impact in their academic and personal lives? Join our team as an Aspiring School-Based SEN Psychologist in Islington, and contribute to the development of a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Work alongside SEN staff and teachers to support students with special educational needs.
Assist in identifying students who may require additional psychological support.
Help implement strategies and interventions to improve emotional, social, and academic outcomes for SEN students.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust plans accordingly.
Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to students facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges.
Support the creation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral management strategies.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of SEN programs.
Work closely with external specialists, parents, and guardians to ensure the holistic support of each student.
Requirements:

A strong interest in pursuing a career in Educational Psychology or SEN support.
Relevant qualifications in psychology, education, or a related field.
Experience working with children, preferably in a school or SEN setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
Commitment to professional growth and development.
Valid DBS and right to work document.
