**About the Role**
Are you an experienced and visionary leader ready to make a meaningful impact on Adult Social Care? Join our **Assurance, Strategy, and Improvement** team as the **Head of Programmes, Strategy, and Improvement** at Islington Council. In this senior leadership role, you'll drive key strategic projects, lead improvement initiatives, and support the delivery of our ambitious vision: creating a borough where everyone, regardless of background, has access to equal opportunities and quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the Adult Social Care Improvement team and deliver strategic improvement projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and elected members to embed change and achieve service improvements.
- Oversee the preparation and response to CQC inspections and ensure compliance with national policies.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive strategies that enhance the wellbeing of residents.
- Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including health and social care sectors, to ensure continuous improvement.
- Drive forward a culture of co-production with service users and carers, ensuring their voices are at the heart of service development.

**What We're Looking For**
- **Only apply if you have substantial, relevant experience** in senior management within the public or social care sector, specifically in strategy development, programme management, and leading change initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams.
- Experience managing complex programmes with significant budget responsibility (up to £10M).
- Deep understanding of adult social care policies, particularly CQC inspection frameworks.
- A commitment to tackling inequality, promoting diversity, and fostering an inclusive work environment.
