A fantastic primary school in central Stockport is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with autism who is working at a lower ability level.
Key Requirements:
Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), specifically autism
Familiarity with supporting children who have English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Ideally, knowledge of the Makaton scheme of learning
Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of the needs of individual learnersThis full-time, long-term role is set to start in October 2024 or ASAP.
