Workshop Manager – Construction Plant

The Role:
The Workshop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the construction plant workshop, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Workshop Management: Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

* Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of skilled workshop technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

* Quality Control: Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.

* Inventory Management: Managing parts and equipment inventory, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance while controlling costs.

* Scheduling: Coordinating the scheduling of maintenance and repairs, prioritizing tasks to meet operational demands.

* Problem Solving: Addressing technical issues promptly, providing solutions to keep machinery operational and projects on track.

Candidate Requirements:

* Experience: Proven experience in a workshop management role within the construction or civil engineering sector.

* Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction plant machinery, maintenance processes, and industry standards.

* Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

* Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.

* Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with different departments.
