BDS are currently looking to recruit an experienced Income Officer to cover the South London Area.
Our client prides themselves on delivering affordable and safe accommodation, with low cost and reliable local services for their customers.
As part of your role you will;
* Manage rent accounts and other housing related debts.
* Negotiate repayment agreements with tenants and take action where such agreements are not maintained.
* Prepare and submit cases to the County Court for Possession Hearings and attend court hearings and carry out evictions due to rent arrears.
* Refer residents to welfare benefit and debt support services to ensure that residents are able to maximize their income.
* Make regular and early contact with all residents in arrears, sometimes outside normal working hours.
* Identify vulnerable residents and make referrals to the resident support team where appropriate
* Maximize income collection while minimizing the risk of repossession.
* Deliver income management services while demonstrating high standards of customer care.
The successful candidate will have;
* Knowledge of housing law, the regulatory framework and good practice with regards to debt recovery essentials
* Experience using Dynamic, PCOL and RentSense will be advantage.
* Extensive knowledge of welfare benefits and welfare Benefit reform
* Experience of presenting cases to court and knowledge of the court system.
Pay is in circa of 37k per annum.
