About the role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our supportive team. This role is crucial in providing tailored support to our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students with ASD, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.
As an SEN TA specialising in ASD, you will work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your role will involve one-on-one support, small group interventions, and the use of specialised strategies to enhance the learning experience for children with ASD.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant experience as an SEN TA, particularly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with ASD, ensuring they have full access to the curriculum.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement IEPs.
• Use specialised strategies and resources to support the learning and development of students with ASD.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
