We are currently working with a leading M&E contractor with a strong national presence delivering across sectors who are looking for a mechanical project engineer to join their London business to initially work on a notable £32m M&E in East London. Working closely with the mechanical lead yoiu will join the project with circa 9 months left and take responsibility for remaining procurement as well as package managing through to commissioning. You will then move to a new scheme in central London and have an invovlement from early stage pre-construction before transitioning to site and delivering.

Project Coordination: Collate all design documents and drawings, and attend project handover meetings.
• Value Engineering: Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and prepare coordinated drawings covering all installation aspects.
• Compliance: Review project design specifications and drawings, ensuring coordinated drawings and technical submittals meet standards.
• Progress Reporting: Assist in producing weekly progress reports and assessing technical submittals.
• Procurement: Process requisitions, generate purchase orders, and verify the receipt of equipment and materials on site.
• Technical Queries: Clarify design queries through the request for information (RFI) system.

Sign off to pay a very attractive day rate with an opportunity to transition to permanent employment if preferable after 6 months. The company in question have an extremely strong order book of projects for the coming years
