Role: Mechanically Biased Project Engineer

Location: Park Royal, London

Package: £60,000 + 10% bonus – 25 days holiday – 6% pension

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent – Monday – Friday 9-5

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic Project Engineer looking to make a significant impact in an evolving food manufacturing company?

I am seeking a Mechanically Biased Project Engineer to play a key role in driving excellence across UK factories. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding, costing, and implementing projects that enhance their operational efficiency and capacity, while ensuring alignment with their business goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Capital Projects: Lead the delivery of various capital projects across the UK, ensuring all complexities, costs, and timelines are effectively managed.

Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive Project Charters outlining accountabilities, scope, costs, and timelines. Ensure all stages of projects, from development through to post-implementation review, are completed to high standards.

Quality Assurance: Deliver projects to the highest engineering and technical standards, driving world-class specifications and standards through project teams.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including Operations, Site Engineering, Technical, NPD, and Health & Safety, to ensure flawless project execution.

Safety & Compliance: Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, maintaining compliance with all safety regulations, and identifying opportunities to improve safety and reduce risks.

Continuous Improvement: Monitor project progress against KPIs, manage changes effectively, and seek continuous improvement opportunities throughout project lifecycles.

Training & Development: Provide training to colleagues as required, sharing knowledge and expertise to build a stronger team.

Communication: Maintain clear, two-way communication with stakeholders and team members, ensuring alignment and awareness of project status and issues.

What They’re Looking For:

Experience: Extensive experience in manufacturing or engineering, with a strong track record in project management and delivery.

Qualifications: Engineering qualification NVQ Level 2 or above (or equivalent).

Skills: Strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and an engineering mindset. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Attributes: A strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term and long-term goals. A natural networker who can engage, motivate, and influence diverse stakeholders. Commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to problem-solving
