This permanent role is positioned within the Defence industry, contributing significantly to the verification and validation of power systems through rigorous compatibility testing and power system analysis.
As part of the Electrical Verification team, you will be integral in delivering a high-integrity electrical power system. The role includes opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend the test site in Leicester. Our client offers relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as the technical point of contact for other engineers and supporting the development and mentoring of team members
Ensuring efficient and effective operation of the team to meet project timelines and objectives
Overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering tasks
Collaborating with multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on compatibility test facility matters
Preparing and communicating technical reports, progress reports, presentations, and advising recommendations
Job Requirements:
Essential:
Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering
Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions
Understanding of compatibility testing of electrical equipment and power electronics
Desirable:
Project Management experience
Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership
