This permanent role will see you working as part of the Electrical Verification Team, involved in the verification and validation of power systems, conducting analysis, and performing calculations to support the maturity and design of electrical platforms. Please note, relocation support packages are available across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis of an electrical power system
Management and analysis of the electrical load budget
Developing and validating electrical models
Collaborating with multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on matters related to the power system
Preparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations communicating results and advising recommendations
Developing and mentoring other team members

Job Requirements:

Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions
Experience conducting electrical load budget and load flow analysis
An understanding of power system analysis software tools (e.g., ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, MATLAB)
Stakeholder management experience
