Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Tilbury, Thurrock
Salary: £45,000-£47,000 p/a + Shift Allowance
About Our Client:
Our client is at the forefront of the recycling industry, ensuring their facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. With over a century of expertise, they lead the way in sustainable recycling practices.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for the Tilbury site. The role involves working in an environment, kept clean to the best possible standards. You will be responsible for maintenance tasks from the CMMS system, following PPM schedules, and maintaining equipment such as drums, rollers, and conveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance tasks from the CMMS system, focusing on PPM schedules.
Maintain and service glass processing equipment like drums, rollers, and conveyors.
Conduct inspections and prepare plants and chutes for regular shutdowns.
Patch up worn equipment due to the abrasive nature of glass, including welding and other repair techniques.
Participate in a 60/40 planned/reactive maintenance split.
Heavy lifting of parts and components as required.
Maintain site cleanliness and hygiene.
Be available for call-outs to other sites with fuel expenses covered by a fuel card.Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical discipline or equivalent.
Apprentice trained candidates are welcome.
Experience in an industrial, heavy metal, or dirty environment; waste industry experience is ideal.
Skills in welding and equipment patching are highly desirable.Working Hours:
Shifts vary with the possibility of call-outs.
