gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our client based in Croydon for an experienced Registered Manager for small children’s home. This role is permanent and fulltime, salary up to £55,000 per annum (based on experience).

Our client provides specialist support to children and young people in care and are setting up a brand new children’s residential home.

Purpose of the Role:

To be responsible for shaping and delivering the Children’s residential home’s Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same. To provide high-quality care services that support the needs of the residents, to be an advocate for their well-being, and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To manage a Childrens Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
To be the Register Manager for Ofsted
To be part of an On-Call system.
To ensure that the Company's financial and administrative procedures are adhered to and to work within a set budget.
To be accountable and take responsibility for liaising with regulatory organisations in relation to the way the home is managed.
Participate in the recruitment of staff, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
Ensure professional ethics and behaviour are always demonstrated by all staff. Provide support, advice, and coaching to all staff within the Home.
Main requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role.
Thorough understand of OFSTED compliance.
Level 5 in Health and Social Care - Children Services.
Driver with access to a car.
