About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This position has become available due to the upcoming retirement of a valued team member. As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students. You will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education, provide tailored support to students, and contribute to the overall success of our school. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of our students while working in a supportive and friendly environment.
Application Requirements:
• Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, preferably within a primary school setting.
• Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
• Knowledge: Understanding of SEN requirements and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Teaching: Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and provide targeted support to students who require additional help.
• Student Engagement: Engage with students to promote their learning and development, both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
• Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and reports as required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for students.
