Position: Business Development Manager
Location: North of the Thames to just beyond the M25 boundary and across to the M40 Oxford boundary
Type: Full-time
Salary: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year (dependent on experience)

Our client is a well-established full-service interiors fit-out company based in Egham, Surrey. They are experts in providing a comprehensive range of new and recycled office and educational furniture, interior blinds, and building services, which include partitioning, suspended ceilings, air conditioning, flooring, cabling, decorating, and electrical work. Additionally, they offer services such as removals, upholstery, repairs, and maintenance. They hold ISO 9001 Accreditation, are Safe Contractor Approved, and CSCS Approved. Role Summary:

The client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth within the designated territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the office furniture sector, with a proven ability to secure new business, build and maintain client relationships, and exceed revenue targets. The role offers substantial support and resources to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting across various sectors, with a £400,000 target in year 1 split between furniture and fit-out sales.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing tailored solutions across the company’s range of services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and implement effective sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective larger clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential growth areas.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in sales and business development within the office furniture market.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
- Results-driven with a passion for success.
- Reside within or very close to the assigned territory.
- Availability to attend the Egham office once per week.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Base salary of £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year, dependent on experience.
- Commission earnings of £10,000/annum for on-target achievement with an annual catch-up.
- Car allowance of £5,000/annum.
- Company pension (5% employer contribution, 3% employee contribution).
- Free parking at the head office.
- Six weeks of sick pay.
- Business mileage reimbursed at government rates.
- Four weeks of holiday plus statutory holidays.
- Friendly and supportive work environment.
- Company-provided laptop and mobile phone.
