Aspire People are currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Office Manager to lead a busy school office and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily operations of the school office, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors.
* Oversee all administrative tasks, including attendance records, admissions, correspondence, and student records.
* Supervise and support the office administrative team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met.
* Manage the school's financial administration, including budgets, invoicing, payroll, and procurement processes.
* Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
* Act as the first point of contact for parents and external agencies, addressing queries and concerns professionally.
* Support the Headteacher and senior leadership team with administrative tasks, including diary management and minute-taking.
* Coordinate the organization of school events, meetings, and parent evenings.
* Ensure all school policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to, particularly in relation to health and safety, safeguarding, and GDPR.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in office management, preferably within a school or educational setting.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
* Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with school management systems (e.g., SIMS) is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and payroll, is advantageous.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a commitment to supporting the school community.
* An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school environment.
