SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Salary: £85 - £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Temporary, Permanent

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Aspire People, a leading education recruitment agency, are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting specialist schools across the Shrewsbury area.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work 1-2-1 and small group supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, MLD, SLD and behavioural difficulties.
* Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Support the classroom teacher in managing the classroom environment, including behaviour management and creating a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Assist students with personal care, mobility, and communication as required.
* Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to help students achieve their full potential.

What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
* A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
