About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is available due to a recent expansion of our support staff to better meet the needs of our students. The position involves working 3 days a week, providing targeted support to students through boosters and interventions.
As a Key Stage 2 TA, you will work closely with teachers to support student learning, helping to enhance their educational experience. This role is crucial in ensuring that students who need additional help receive the support they need to succeed. The class size is manageable, and you will be working with a diverse group of children, allowing you to make a significant impact in their educational journey.
Application Requirements:
• A passion for supporting students and helping them achieve their best.
• Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum and SEN requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of individual students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students requiring additional help.
• Assist with planning and delivering interventions and booster sessions.
• Work closely with teachers to monitor and assess student progress.
• Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they are included in all classroom activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
