We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Estimator to join a specialist Drylining & Ceilings subcontractor in South East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction and project estimation, as well as a willingness to learn and grow in the field. As a Trainee Estimator, you will work closely with experienced estimators to develop cost estimates for construction projects, analyse project specifications and requirements, and assist in preparing bids and proposals. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in construction estimating and gain valuable hands-on experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects
Review project specifications and requirements
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other project documents
Collaborate with project managers and other team members
Assist in preparing bids and proposals
Learn and apply industry best practices in estimating

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
