Trainee Estimator required for our Manufacturing Client based in Wednesbury. Reporting to the Customer Operations Manager. The purpose of this office based estimating role is to provide industry leading service and support to the company’s customers, both internal and external, adding value in the delivery of the company’s sales and service level targets. While working with speed, accuracy, excellent communication, together with a positive and confident attitude.

Main Responsibilities:

* Job Activities. (These activities should not be considered restrictive)

* Logging / raising quotes and drawings on the company CRM system

* Ensure all Customer quotations and designs are satisfactorily managed, resolved and closed within 48 hours of enquiry receipt

* Follow up and close sales quotations

* Provide customer service and design support to the external and Internal teams, plus to UK and Export customers

* Proactively look to continually improve systems and controls

* External visits to carry out site surveys, initially with a sales manager leading to lone visits as and when required

* Other duties as requested by the Directors and partners

Relevant Qualifications, Knowledge, Training:

* Enthusiastic team player

* Ability to communicate with Internal and External customers

* Ability to define areas of improvement and implement programs

* Attention to detail

* Completion of all tasks in an accurate and timely manner

* General knowledge of gas and oil heating products preferred but not essential

* Autocad or similar experience preferred but not essential

* Familiar with the use of Excel

* Good communication skills

* Good mathematics skills

A strong desire to improve & learn is essential and training in house will be available and also external training courses where required

Hours of work: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Starting Salary: £25,000 per annum
