Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an Employment Advisor who will deliver support to offenders prior to release, you will support with personal growth, accessing training and entering the workplace.
Duties:
You will support customers 121 and in groups to help overcome complex barriers including mental health, debt, disabilities, drug/alcohol.
You will manage a caseload providing advice, guidance, mentoring and coaching to help improve post-custody lives.
You will complete in-depth diagnostics and set achievable SMART targets to ensure consistent engagement and progress is made each month.
Required Skills:
You will have experience working with offenders/ex-offenders and understand the complexities which they have.
You be personable, able to build rapport quickly whilst mentoring customers on their post-offence journey.
You will be a skilled practitioner, able to offer appropriate advice and guidance and deliver sessions on CV’s, applying for jobs, interview techniques etc.
