Nursery Chef
We are working with an independent children’s day nursery who are currently looking for a Nursery Chef for their nursery setting in Twickenham.
The successful candidate will ideally have had previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment and catering for large numbers, special diets, and allergies. Experience cooking within an Early Years setting would also be desirable, however, this is not essential.
Nursery Chef - Position Details
Your role will include:
* Preparing and cooking nutritionally balanced meals appropriate for under-fives
* Overseeing menu planning, ensuring the children receive a healthy nutritionally balanced diet
* Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy kitchen
* Regulating kitchen stock control and collating food purchasing orders
* Meeting health and safety and environmental health requirements at all times
You will ideally have:
* A current Food Hygiene Certificate and First Aid Certificate
* Sound knowledge of food allergies
* Experience of cooking within childcare setting
* Proven experience and ability to organise, plan and cook nutritionally balanced meals for different dietary needs
* Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety requirements
