Salary: Up to £40,000 Per Annum - Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Full-time (40 hours)

About the role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state-of-the-art private eye clinic-based n Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team permanently. The clinic is high performing and expanding and within his role, you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments offering a range of surgical procedures in specialist fields within Ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills in assisting patients undergoing procedures including cataract surgery in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for:

Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume clinical setting
Prepare patients for surgery
Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
Caring for patients after surgery recovering from sedation
Review patient charts and confirm data
Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
Follow surgeons' directions and pass medical equipment
Monitor patient's condition during surgery
Medicine Management and Audits

Who we're looking for

Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK
Ophthalmic / optometry / ophthalmology experience highly desirable
Interest in development and progression- this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
