Residential Children’s Support Worker

- St Helen’s, Merseyside

- Full Time, Permanent including sleep in duties average of 40 hours per week

- £25,000 basic plus additional payments for sleep ins

Job Overview:

Hunts Recruitment is seeking full time, permanent Residential Childcare Support Workers for a vacancy in St Helen's. You will act as a positive role model to enable children to achieve their full potential. The residential support worker works closely with a team around the child to provide care, support, advice and assistance in meeting children’s physical, social, and emotional needs.

Responsibilities

- Attending young people’s meetings, contributing to them and act as an advocate on behalf of a child where they are the subject of discussion.

- Driving company vehicles (if a full UK drivers licence is held).

- Attending to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning, gardening general maintenance/ upkeep of the home)

- Receiving training appropriate to the role and maintaining an up-to-date training profile

- Responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the requirements of the organisational Health and Safety Policies

- Being familiar with all policies and procedures and adhering to them

- Ensure all aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion are adhered to across all departments.
