Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Attleborough, Norfolk

Daily Rate: £86 - £98

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:45

We are working with an outstanding independent SEN school near Attleborough, Norfolk, dedicated to students aged 6-18 who find mainstream education challenging due to specific learning difficulties, including social, emotional and mental health challenges, autism spectrum conditions, and complex communication needs.

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Student Support: Build meaningful relationships with students, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning journey.

Promote Independence: Encourage students to develop independence and self-confidence while maintaining high behaviour standards.

Learning Facilitation: Assist in delivering dynamic and differentiated educational activities to help each student reach their full potential.

Classroom Assistance: Provide essential support to the class teacher, ensuring daily classroom operations run smoothly.

Flexibility: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, be adaptable to the changing needs of the school, assisting with various tasks as required.

Holistic Development: Support students' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development, as well as their spiritual well-being.

Team Collaboration: Contribute as part of a friendly, multi-disciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For In Our SEN Teaching Assistant:

Educational Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent.

Safeguarding Knowledge: A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

SEN Experience: Previous experience with SEN students is highly desirable.

Transport: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or reliable transport for commuting to rural Attleborough, Norfolk.
