The company has a strong portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, and is known for delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities:
* Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor services for groundwork projects.
* Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
* Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
* Monitor market trends and assess potential risks to procurement processes.
* Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with project needs and budgets.
* Assist in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably within the groundworks, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and relevant legislation.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
