Your new company is a dynamic and innovative distributor of fireplaces, stoves, fires, and related products, based just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. They are dedicated to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to their customers. As part of their commitment to innovation and growth, they are seeking a motivated, creative, and proactive Product Development Engineer to join their team.

Your new role
Your new role will involve overseeing the research, development, and implementation of new product development (NPD) while maintaining current product lines. You will manage multiple projects from start to finish, utilising your 3D CAD design skills (SolidWorks or similar) to create engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BoMs). You will also communicate with foreign suppliers, create and update product construction files, and implement in-house quality control procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
What you'll need to succeed is a university degree and experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks. Strong project management skills, a good knowledge of the product development process, and a proactive, creative, and logical approach to problem-solving are essential. Desirable qualifications include three years of experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or design sector, extensive experience with SolidWorks, and strong leadership and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop is also required.

What you'll get in return is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £36,000. You will work 37.5 hours per week, with hours from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 3:45pm on Fridays.
