Within this Lead Engineer role you will be responsible for undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance throughout designated College buildings, ensuring adherence to operational, regulatory and College compliance requirements. You will also be providing technical and managerial support to engineers within the team.

This role is both on the tools and office based giving you a varied day to day position and a first step towards management.
This Static Lead Engineer role will include:
Carrying out PPMs ensuring compliance and adhering to statutory regulations
Offering leadership to and giving day to day guidance to the Engineers and Maintenance team members
Taking responsibility for the maintenance and operations of the electrical and HVAC services on campus
Monitoring the activities of outside contractors on campus
Working with the management team to ensure the quality and improvement of the maintenance services at all times
Conducting 121's with the engineers and maintenance team members
This is a critical role and you will be a key part of the specialist team focusing on asset operational maintenance. You will be based on site in this static role Monday - Friday 8-4. This is a 35 hour working week.
For this Lead Engineer role based in central London we are looking for:
A technically competent M&E Engineer with a time served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical maintenance
Ideally you will be mechanically biased but have multi skilled building services maintenance experience
Experience of leading a team of engineers on a daily basis
Committed to the continual improvement of yourself and your team
Legionella awareness and IOSH managing safely
Experience and working knowledge of building regulations and health and safety
A team player, looking for a long term career within estates management
If you have supervised a small team of maintenance engineers, or have worked as a lead engineer, have a strong skill set in maintenance, and are looking to work client side in a rewarding and varied role please apply now!
