Procurement Specialist | Nottingham | up to £65,000| Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)

We are looking for an experience Procurement Specialist with particular experience in category management and buying within a highly regulated industry.

The Opportunity:

Due to increase in demand within their energy contract, Ford & Stanley are recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to work closely with the Strategic Procurement Lead to develop strategies to identify, select and manage strategic partners improving their category across substations.

This role plays a crucial part in aiding the UK decarbonisation initiative, helping work towards its goal of achieving its NetZero target by 2050 alongside the increase of business-as-usual demand by fivefold.

Key responsibilities:

Develop strategies for the category within your portfolio alongside the Strategic Procurement Lead in line with the overall supply chain strategy
This includes identification, selection and management of strategic partners by using the category management principles.
Be an active role player in the procurement team metrics i.e value plan, quality, health and safety, sustainability
Ensure compliance to company and procurement policies and procedures

Candidate Essentials:

Solid experience in procurement, buying and building categories (circa 5 years)
Confident with supplier terms and legal requirements / distribution agreements etc
Ability to work with self-autonomy
Proven experience working within a highly regulated industry

Qualifications:

CIPS qualified (or equivalent) is essential
