The Role:

The role of the Procurement Assistant is responsible for providing indirect procurement management support to the Procurement Manager, across a range of categories to drive efficiencies and maximise value for the business.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include helping to shape the current procurement strategy and the implementation of a new contract register to improve controls and oversight. Initially this will be a UK based role however in time the successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with our global offices across Europe.

Experience:

Studying towards CIPS or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
Demonstrate experience of managing key supplier relationship by conducting supplier review meetings to drive value added.
Excellent communication skills and a good command in both verbal & written English.
Strong problem solving, negotiation, presentation and organisational skills.
Experienced working with Excel and Word.

Candidate:

Building strong relationships with key business partners. Managing the needs and expectations of the business to drive satisfaction while ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies.
Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and assist in supplier evaluations and vendor tenders to ensure our services remains competitive, and of high quality and compliance.
Stay abreast of market trends to assist the stakeholders in their existing needs and provide new ideas to drive innovation and efficiencies.
Conduct supplier review meetings to build relationships, review and analyse data to drive performance management, and implement improvement plans when needed.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the relevant industrial and global/regional procurement best practices.
