This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading contractor, overseeing the MEP on their 150-unit residential project with further major developments on the horizon.

About the Role: As the MEP Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical packages on a landmark mixed-use residential site. This project is a cornerstone in the client’s portfolio, with substantial growth opportunities in the Cambridge area. Key Responsibilities:

* Project Oversight: Lead and manage all aspects of mechanical and electrical packages on-site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

* Team Coordination: Oversee all site labour and subcontractors, ensuring efficient and effective collaboration to achieve project goals.

* Schedule Management: Proactively manage the MEP programme, identifying and addressing potential delays before they impact the timeline.

* Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Project Director and other key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and client expectations are exceeded.

* Financial Control: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.

* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards, fostering a culture of safety on-site.

* Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the site team and subcontractors, helping to resolve challenges and drive project success.

* Communication: Chair regular progress meetings, maintaining clear, consistent communication with the client, subcontractors, and consultants to keep everyone aligned and informed.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced MEP Manager with a strong background in either mechanical or electrical engineering, and a deep understanding of M&E systems in construction.

You should have a proven track record on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams to meet project objectives. As a proactive problem-solver, you will anticipate and address issues before they impact project delivery
